CLL is a chronic type of cancer meaning that it progresses slowly over a long period of time. CLL is also non curable, meaning that it is something you will learn to live with. At some point during the CLL journey signs of CLL progression might appear. Therefore, you may start treatment which can lead to remission. In some cases, signs of CLL progression reappear after a period of time. This is known as relapse. Understandably, this can be quite frustrating and overwhelming. However, an alteration of treatment or a new line of treatment might be what is needed to get on top of CLL once again.
